Noise colors
- White noise
- Equal power in any band of the same width in hertz, low or high. A bright, even hiss.
- Pink noise
- Power per hertz falls by about 3 dB with each octave, so every octave carries the same energy. Softer and fuller than white.
- Brown noise
- Power per hertz falls by about 6 dB with each octave, which leaves a deep rumble. The name comes from Brownian motion, not the color.
